Anyone over 3 yrs old may go tubing. Anyone under age
13, must be accompanied by an adult. There is no weight
restriction, but keep in mind the river does get shallow in
some spots.
We are open form 10am -7pm daily. Our season typically
runs from April-September.
Honestly the only differences between us and the other guys
are that we offer longer floats for less money. Also our tubes
are all double chambered-meaning more safety for your
family. Last, but not least is our river, sparkling and crystal
clean. The Little River is a tubers' paradise second to none!
IF its not the Little River its not real mountain tubing. We
keep our prices low because we firmly believe tubing should
be enjoyed by everyone.
You will be tubing on the Little River( not the Little Pigeon).
The Little river is as clean as you could possibly imagine a
mountain stream to be. In fact, the parts you will be on have
up to that point only traveled thru protected National park
land! No cities(pollution) or farms(farm-animals)! There are
rapids, though they are not frequent and the float IS SAFE. .
These rapids would be considered Class II, according to The
American Whitewater rating system, and are very
small(class I is flat water).
Safety is our #1 priority! All guests receive
custom fitted Coast Guard approved lifejackets.
All staff are familiar with the river, and all of our
shuttle drivers are licensed and insured. We are
Townsends' premier outfitter, and our experience
and safety record are second to none.
In a light rain, yes. Safety comes first, so If the rain is
too steady, or the river level is in danger of rising-we
don't open. Of course tubing is out of the question
during electrical storms.
